In this session, Dr. Nana described how Shared Harvest’s telehealth platform powered by a taskforce of skills-based volunteer health workers created a network for support and wellness for low-resourced communities, along with Project #RESUS – how to continue to strengthen the clinical pipeline and spread compassion through wellness, service, and loan relief.

In LATech4Good’s inaugural workshop session on Data Equity for Healthcare Professionals, Dr. Nana explored the intrinsic connection between health equity and data equity, and how it impacts her work as a healthcare professional and as a social entrepreneur, encouraging awareness and involvement in data policy initiatives.

At ITUP’s annual virtual LA Health Collaborative meeting, Addressing Broadband as a Social Driver of Health, Dr. Nana discussed her experiences in which a lack of Internet connectivity has been a barrier to serving her community, Shared Harvest’s surveys, research, and other efforts done to help in closing the digital divide, and the possibilities for health care if broadband and connectivity were not a barrier for those communities served.
